One of Beta Psi's favorite ways to get involved with the Ronald McDonald House is to cook for them! Groups of our sisters volunteer weekly at RMH cooking dinners or baking cookies for the families that live there.
We are very fortunate to have a Ronald McDonald House Charities right on our campus. From the front steps of the Alpha Delta Pi house to RMHC, it is approximately one mile! We take advantage of its proximity whenever we can!
The Main Event partners with Legends Gym to provide college aged students an arena to show off their boxing skills. 2016 will mark the 12th annual year of The Main Event being held at the University of Kentucky and the 9th year of Alpha Delta Pi’s full-fledged support. Since 2007, Alpha Delta Pi has been helping with The Main Event in Lexington, providing an experience that will benefit the sorority’s national philanthropy, the Ronald McDonald House Charities.
In the Fall of 2015, Alpha Delta Pi and Sigma Phi Epsilon joined teams to launch a campaign for sexual assault prevention on college campuses.
So, what does Live Your Oath mean? As Greek men and women on college campuses, we each took an oath to live our lives with dignity and respect for all.
Once a year, we host Live Your Oath week in an effort to raise awareness of sexual assault. Throughout that week, ADPi and SigEp host various activities around campus to get everyone involved! Some of these activities include guest speakers, restaurant nights, tabling, and giving anyone the opportunity to #LiveYourOath.
In the Spring of 2017, our chapter hosted our first ever, "Runway for the Roses" event! This philanthropic event was designed to benefit the Ronald McDonald House through a locally held fashion show. There are several unique aspects to this exciting new occasion, one of them being that the clothing and products featured are provided by some of the most popular boutiques around Lexington!
Runway for the Roses is a wonderful way to get many parts of your community to come together to support a wonderful cause.
Tristan Nolan, one of our very talented sisters who just recently opened up her own clothing boutique, was featured this past spring in the fashion show.
